EMPower Trning Initiative

The EMPower Trning Initiative was funded by the Centers for Disease Control CDC with a mission to enhance evidence-based maternity practices that foster optimal infant nutrition. This initiative offered trning and technical assistance to hospitals ming to boost the capacity of healthcare professionals, including maternity care staff, in implementing these practices safely and as inted in United States' hospitals.

EMPower Trning encompassed comprehensive skill-based competency trning for maternity care providers through a dyad team comprising a breastfeeding coach and a quality improvement coach. The program included a Trner Manual: Comprehensive trning materials to implement skills-based competency in maternity care and breastfeeding hereafter referred to as the Trner Manual, alongside an accompanying digital tool.

EMPower Trning Digital Tool

The EMPower Trning digital platform was designed as an online learning resource series that serves as supplementary material complementing the Trner Manual. This platform, accessible free of charge, breaks down large concepts into smaller, digestible modules to ensure ease of understanding and reference for users whenever needed. The team recomms viewing all eight modules in sequence to best utilize this tool alongside the Trner Manual and related resources.
