In the bustling city of Guangzhou, a study was conducted to set the normal reference range for Hemoglobin A1c HbA c among healthy pregnant women during mid-pregnancy and to explore its potential value when combined with fasting blood glucose levels in predicting Gestational Diabetes Mellitus GDM.
The research team med to establish this critical health parameter's reference range through a meticulous examination of samples from 60 GDM patients who delivered within the period between June and December of the years covered by our study. The contrast group consisted of 636 healthy pregnant women, all of whom were under regular prenatal care at our institution.
The primary goal was to identify an acceptable threshold for HbA c levels among healthy pregnant individuals during mid-pregnancy without the complications that often accompany Gestational Diabetes Mellitus GDM.
